“Birth” acyrlic on canvas, 16’x20’, a piece dedicated to a friend and the birth of their first child. The special aspect of this painting is that each layer is painted seperately. Each color on the body to layers of white on the petals. I enjoy working with saturated vibrant colors. The background colors work to cultivate a warm background. The body itself is inspired by images produced by thermal energy in the human body. The flowers have gone through many layers of colors, ultimately choosing an off white creme.
